The deadline for renewal of dealing licences issued under the Essential Commodities Control Order, 1981 for the 2025-2026 fiscal year has been extended to December 31, 2025.
The information was disclosed through a public notice signed by Khulna Deputy Commissioner Md Toufiqur Rahman.
The renewal applies to licences for trade in iron and steel products, cement, retail and wholesale fabric, baby food, cigarettes (wholesale and distributorship), and yarn (retail).
Failure to renew within the extended period will result in legal action as per the relevant provisions of the Essential Commodities Control Order, 1981, the notice added.
