According to organisers, the sales figure marks a 3.42 per cent increase compared to 2025. A total of 329 domestic and foreign companies participated in the fair, including 11 firms from six countries - India, Turkey, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Exhibitors from cottage, micro, small, medium, and large industries showcased and sold a wide array of products, including readymade garments, leather goods, jute and jute products, agricultural and agro-processed items, furniture, electrical and electronic goods, cosmetics, home décor, toys, stationery, crockery, handicrafts, plastic products, melamine, herbal and toiletries, imitation jewellery, real estate services, fast food and other services.

A field-level survey conducted during the fair noted that several products on display were new or innovative, reflecting Bangladesh’s growing industrial diversity.

Sectors that received significant export orders included diversified jute products, electrical and electronic goods, home appliances, cosmetics, hygiene products, processed food, handloom products, tableware, home textiles, Nakshi Kantha and fabrics. Export orders came from Afghanistan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Malaysia and Turkey.

At the closing ceremony, awards were presented to outstanding pavilions, stalls and companies across different categories. Forty institutions were selected as best performers based on design, product display, customer service, compliance, cleanliness, digital use, contribution to exports and innovation.

To promote export diversification and strengthen exporters’ capacity, eight seminars were organised under a series led by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), with cooperation from the Ministry of Commerce, BSCIC, SME Foundation, JDPC, trade associations such as BPGMEA, BJAPMEA, BFPIA, Banglacraft, and development partners like the World Bank, GIZ, FCDO and BSI.

Cultural evenings featuring renowned artists blended traditional folk music with modern performances, providing entertainment for visitors. Online systems for stall allotment and ticket purchase were introduced to enhance convenience. Dedicated BRTC bus services and ride-sharing at concessional rates ensured smooth transportation.

Special exhibits included “Bangladesh Square”, commemorating the Language Movement of 1952, the Liberation War and the July Uprising martyrs. An Export Enclave highlighted seven top export sectors. Facilities such as a senior citizens’ corner, mother and child care centre and children’s park were arranged to ensure a comfortable experience for all visitors. Volunteers also conducted health awareness campaigns throughout the fair.

CCTV surveillance, law enforcement deployment and fire service units ensured security, while the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection conducted drives to monitor food quality and prevent consumer harassment.

DITF-2026 successfully showcased Bangladesh’s industrial diversity, export potential and innovation, while offering a visitor-friendly and secure environment, making it a milestone event in the country’s trade calendar.
