The DSE Brokers Association of Bangladesh (DBA) has formally welcomed the recent initiative by the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) to amend the country's Margin Rules.

In a statement released on Saturday, the association described the regulatory upgrade as a pragmatic and market-friendly step that will provide a positive boost to the domestic capital market.

According to the trade organisation, the revised rules will help establish a balanced, modern, and forward-looking regulatory framework. The DBA believes these changes will play a significant role in fostering orderly, transparent, and sustainable development across the financial sector.

The association expressed its hope that the draft of the amended framework will be published shortly to gather public feedback. The group noted that it stands ready to review the document in detail and submit comprehensive recommendations to the commission if required.

DBA President Saiful Islam stated that the association fully supports the reform strategies undertaken by the market regulator. Islam emphasised that these measures are crucial for making the capital market more modern, resilient, and investment-friendly.

The president added that the DBA is fully prepared to work closely with the BSEC on all future regulatory updates aimed at developing the financial landscape of the nation.
