The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has fixed the retail price of a 12-kilogram Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder at Tk1,341, effective from 6pm on 2 March.
According to a BERC announcement, all licensed LPG marketing companies are required to implement the new price across the country without delay.
BERC Chairman Jalal Ahmed officially announced the revised tariff and instructed suppliers to ensure compliance at the retail level.
He said the adjustment reflects the latest pricing review and applies uniformly nationwide.
Alongside the 12kg cylinder, prices for other LPG cylinder sizes have also been revised. Under the new structure, the 12.5kg cylinder is priced at Tk1,397, while a 15kg cylinder costs Tk1,676. The 16kg cylinder has been set at Tk1,788, 18kg at Tk2,011, 20kg at Tk 2,235, and 22kg at Tk2,458.
Further adjustments include pricing of 25kg cylinders at Tk2,794, 30kg at Tk3,352, 33kg at Tk3,587, 35kg at Tk3,911, and 45kg cylinders at Tk5,028.
The commission regularly reviews LPG prices based on international market trends and import costs.
Authorities have urged retailers and distributors to strictly follow the newly announced rates to ensure transparency and consistency in the domestic market.
