Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) has directed its distributary companies to increase diesel and petrol supply by 10 per cent and octane by 20 per cent from Monday onwards.
BPC has issued a letter to its distribution companies, Padma Oil PLC, Jamuna Oil Company Ltd, Meghna Petroleum Company Ltd, and Standard Asiatic Oil Company Ltd, asking them to increase fuel supply at refuelling stations across the country.
BPC General Manager Ferdousi Masum Himel issued the letter on Sunday night following directives from the corporation’s higher authorities.
In the letter, the managing directors of the companies were asked to take necessary measures to ensure the sale of fuel from Monday.
