Gas supply will remain suspended in six areas of Narayanganj and Munshiganj for six hours on Friday to allow the relocation of an existing gas pipeline, according to Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited.
In a notice issued on Thursday, the state-owned utility said the work would be carried out near Bridge No. 7 in the Pagla Railway Station area as part of an ongoing railway infrastructure project being implemented by Bangladesh Railway.
As a result, gas supply to all categories of consumers in Fatullah, Enayetnagar, Kashipur, Muktarpur, Munshiganj and Siddhirganj will remain suspended from 2:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday.
Titas Gas said consumers in neighbouring areas could also experience low gas pressure during the period.
The company apologised for the temporary disruption and requested the cooperation of consumers affected by the planned outage.
