Gas supply will remain suspended for 24 hours in several areas of Narayanganj from Sunday morning to allow pipeline relocation work under the South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation (SASEC) project.

In a notice, Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited said the supply will remain fully suspended in Bhulta, Gawsia, Murapara, Araihazar and Kanchan from 9:00am on 28 June until 9:00am on 29 June.

The work will be carried out at the Golakandail intersection in Rupganj as part of the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway upgrading project under the SASEC programme.

Titas Gas said consumers in all categories across the affected areas would remain without gas throughout the 24-hour period.

The company also warned that customers in neighbouring areas could experience low gas pressure or temporary supply disruptions while the maintenance work is under way.

The utility apologised for the temporary inconvenience caused to consumers.
