Zayn Malik has officially rejoined the business structure of One Direction, nearly a decade after his departure from the band. New filings show the singer has been reinstated as an “active director” of PPM Music Limited, alongside his former bandmates, intensifying speculation about a potential full reunion.

Zayn Malik, the 32-year-old singer who dramatically left One Direction in 2015, has formally rejoined the group’s corporate structure, according to documents filed with Companies House on November 3.

Mr. Malik has been listed as an “active director” of PPM Music Limited, the business entity established by the band. The move is the first official sign of renewed collaboration among the group members since they began their hiatus in January 2016.

Mr. Malik’s return sees him join former bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan, who are all currently listed as directors of the company.

Corporate Structure and Reunion Speculation

PPM Music Limited is named after Princess Park Manor, the London complex where the band resided after being formed on The X Factor.

According to the filings, Mr. Malik’s previous association with the company was officially terminated in June 2016. The reinstatement comes as Mr. Malik prepares to launch his first Las Vegas residency in January.

Industry sources suggest the recent death of former member Liam Payne has encouraged the remaining members to draw closer. One source indicated to The Sun that the move was a “huge moment,” noting that Mr. Payne had consistently supported the idea of a reunion.

Further fueling reunion speculation is the listing of music manager Alan McEvoy, who previously worked with the group, among the company’s directors. Reports also suggest that Mr. Malik and Louis Tomlinson have been filming a joint television project in the US.

While the new corporate filing signals collaboration on the business side, there has been no official confirmation of new music or a future tour.
