Prime Video has announced that its upcoming Hindi-language courtroom thriller System will be released globally on 22 May.
The film is directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and produced by Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja and Smitha Baliga under Baweja Studios. It will stream exclusively on Prime Video in India and in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
System is described as a courtroom drama centred on themes of power, privilege and justice, focusing on a legal battle where truth and accountability are tested in court.
Sonakshi Sinha plays Neha Rajvansh, a public prosecutor, while Jyotika portrays courtroom stenographer Sarika Rawat. Despite their contrasting backgrounds, the two characters work together to uncover hidden injustices while confronting powerful adversaries.
The cast also includes Ashutosh Gowariker in a key role, along with Preeti Agarwal, Adinath Kothare, Aashriya Mishra, Gaurav Pandey and Sayandeep Gupta.
Speaking about the film, Nikhil Madhok said System is a “powerful and thrilling drama” that explores ambition, justice and ethics. He said the film, led by Sonakshi Sinha and Jyotika, is expected to offer compelling viewing and resonate with audiences globally when it premieres on 22 May.
Producer Harman Baweja described it as a “gripping legal drama” about two women from different worlds connected by their pursuit of justice. He said the film reflects a shared ambition to tell meaningful cinematic stories and credited Prime Video and director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari for helping bring the project to life at scale.
The screenplay has been written by Harman Baweja, Arun Sukumar, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Tasneem Lokhandwala and Akshat Ghildial.
