Bangladeshi beauty artist Sayma Sadia has won the Gold Prize at the 25th World Beauty Art & Design International Contest in Seoul, adding an international achievement to Bangladesh’s growing presence in the global creative industry.
The annual competition, organised by the World Beauty Art Association, attracts beauty professionals, educators and artists from different countries who compete across a range of categories, showcasing their expertise in make-up, beauty and artistic design.
According to organisers, Sayma received the top award in the Makeup, General Category, recognising her creativity, artistic ability and technical precision.
Currently studying for a bachelor's degree in beauty design at Woosong University in South Korea, Sayma said the award marked an important step in her professional journey and had encouraged her to pursue even greater ambitions.
Reflecting on the achievement, she said she felt honoured to receive the recognition and viewed the success as something she shared with those who had supported her throughout her career.
She paid tribute to her parents and sister, saying their encouragement, sacrifices and confidence in her had given her the strength to reach the international stage.
