Gas supply will be suspended in various places in Dhaka district and its surroundings on Sunday (August 17) due to gas pipeline relocation work.
Titas Gas Authority gave this information in a notification on Saturday (August 16).
The notification said that due to the relocation work of the existing gas pipeline in the Mridha Bari-Shanir Akhra-Nama Shyampur section of Dhaka section under the Dhaka-Narayanganj-Demra (DND) area drainage system development project, gas supply to all categories of customers in Jurain, Dholai Par, Zia Sarani, Donia, Shanir Akhra, Matuail, Nama Shyampur, Palashnagar and Mridha Bari areas will be suspended for a total of 11 (eleven) hours on August 17 from 8 am to 7 pm.
It also said that low gas pressure may prevail in the surrounding areas during this time. The authority sincerely apologized for the temporary inconvenience caused to the customers.
