Early on Monday, members of the Bangladesh Army retrieved a significant amount of ammunition and weapons from a United People Democratic Front (UPDF) hideout in the Khagrachhari district.

An army team carried out a search operation in the deep forest of Yuboneshwar Para in Panchhari upazila at around 5 AM on Monday, according to a media release from Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) that was based on an intelligence report.
Suman Chakma, the main local group commander for the UPDF, ran away when he noticed the army men.
It further states that a pistol, a magazine, two rounds of ammo, fifteen banners, two walkie-talkie chargers, two cell phones, sharp weapons, and other items used by armed soldiers of the UPDF were later found in the den.

The army will continue operations to arrest the fugitive UPDF members in different areas of the Hill Tracts to ensure the safety of local residents.
