On Tuesday morning, four bogies of a train derailed at Moglabazar in the Sylhet district, causing rail links between Sylhet and the rest of the nation to be interrupted.
Around eight in the morning, four bogies, including the engine of the Chattogram-bound "Udayan Express" headed for Sylhet, went off the tracks, causing disruptions to train services along the route, according to Abul Kuddus, officer-in-charge of the Sylhet Railway Police Station.
The event resulted in injuries to multiple passengers. A fire department team responded quickly to the scene and, with the assistance of locals, saved the passengers.
According to Sylhet Railway Station Manager Nurul Islam, a rescue train was dispatched from the nearby station to the location in order to recover the derailed bogies.
