Shahidul arrives in Türkiye from Israel, set to arrive BD tomorrow

Renowned Bangladeshi photographer and human rights activist Shahidul Alam on Friday arrived in Istanbul of Türkiye by a Turkish Airlines flight, Chief Adviser’s Press Wing said. 

“Bangladesh Consul General in Istanbul Mohammad Mizanur Rahman receives renowned Bangladeshi photographer and human rights activist Shahidul Alam on his return from Israel by Turkish Airlines flight on Friday,” it said.

Earlier, the press wing said Shahidul Alam arrived at Türkiye by the flight – TK 6921.

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on Friday thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his cooperation in securing the release of renowned Bangladeshi photographer and human rights activist Shahidul Alam and his repatriation from Israel.

“A flight took off from Israel this afternoon with renowned Bangladeshi photographer and human rights activist Shahidul Alam among the passengers,” it said. 

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his cooperation in securing his release and repatriation from Israel.

Bangladesh Ambassador to Turkey Md Amanur Rahman said Shahidul Alam's return flight to Dhaka was scheduled to depart Istanbul at 6:45 pm local time on Friday.
