On Saturday, health officials said that 651 new instances of dengue outbreaks had been reported in the previous 24 hours.
A statement from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) stated that, of the 651 patients, 129 were admitted to hospitals in the Barishal division, 98 in Chattogram division, 120 in Dhaka division (excluding the capital), 117 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 120 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, 13 in Khulna division, 29 in Mymensingh division, 22 in Rajshahi division, and three in Sylhet division.
278 people have died, and 70,513 have been affected by dengue since the outbreak began in Bangladesh this year.
Last year, dengue killed 575 people and infected 1,01,214 others nationwide.
