Army Chief asks cadets to serve their country with dedication

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman on Friday urged the incumbent and former cadets of Joypurhat Girls Cadet College to serve the country with utmost dedication.

He made the call while addressing, as the chief guest, a function arranged on the second day of the three-day first reunion of Joypurhat Girls Cadet College in Joypurhat, said an ISPR press release.  

On arrival at Joypurhat Girls Cadet College, the Army Chief was welcomed by the President of the Cadet College Governing Council and Adjutant General, Bangladesh Army; GOC, 11 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Bogura Area; the College Principal and the President of Association of Joypurhat Ex-Cadets (AJEC).

Then, the chief guest inaugurated the AJEC reunion programme and took a salute at the reunion parade. Later, he delivered a speech before the cadets and former cadets participating in the parade.

The Army Chief, along with the invited dignitaries and former and current cadets, joined a luncheon.

The three-day reunion of the ex-cadets of Joypurhat Girls Cadet College began Thursday.
