Tarique Rahman provides assistance for treatment of heart patient in Bogura

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has extended financial assistance to a grassroots leader in Bogura as part of its ongoing support initiatives for party workers and people in need.

A delegation from the ‘Amra BNP Poribar’ visited the residence of Md Sajjad Hossain, Joint General Secretary of Ward No-2 BNP in Bogura town, at Brindaban Para on Sunday and handed over financial support for his medical treatment.

According to party sources, Sajjad Hossain has been suffering from heart disease for a long time. On September 25, this year, two rings were implanted in his heart. The high treatment cost has left him in serious financial difficulty and burdened with debt.

After learning about his condition, the BNP Acting Chairman and chief patron of the Amra BNP Family, Tarique Rahman, instructed the organisation to provide immediate financial support for Sajjad’s treatment and related expenses.

Following these instructions, Kalam Azad, Rajshahi, and Rangpur Division Media Cell Coordinators, representatives of the BNP family, visited Sajjad’s home, met his family members, and delivered the financial aid.

Kalam Azad said that Sajjad Hossain had remained loyal to the party even during its most challenging times.

“His condition has worsened due to illness, but his fellow leaders and worker"His fellow leaders and workers have stood by him, demonstrating their unity and support during this difficult time, which is truly exemplary," he said.

He also urged all leaders and activists to work collectively to ensure the victory of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman in the upcoming Sadar upazila election.

Ward No. 2 City BNP President Shahidul Alam Sanju, General Secretary Shahidul Islam Shahid, Organising Secretary Saiful Islam, City Chhatra Dal Vice President Rocky and Ward Chhatra Dal leader Siam were present during the visit, among others.
