The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has announced special security measures and traffic restrictions in and around the National Memorial in Savar ahead of the observance of Victory Day 2025.
According to an official directive on Sunday, vehicular movement in the National Memorial area will remain suspended from December 13 to 15 and again on the 16th from 3:00am to 8:30am to ensure security and cleanse activities ahead of the national observance.
The directive also states that entry by the general public to the inner premises of the National Memorial on December 16 will remain restricted until 8:30 am.
The order stated that arrangements for the Victory Day ceremonies would ensure a secure environment for state dignitaries, freedom fighters, and visitors.
