Health officials on Wednesday said they recorded 377 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in the past 24 hours.
“We recorded 377 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in 24 hours ending at 8:00 am on Wednesday,” a spokesman of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.
“Out of the 377 fresh cases, 27 were hospitalised in Barishal division, 55 in Chattogram division, 76 in Dhaka division excluding the capital, 58 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 88 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 28 in Khulna division, 19 in Mymensingh division, 21 in Rajshahi division, two in Rangpur division and three in Sylhet division,” a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.
Since the start of the dengue onslaughts in Bangladesh this year, 401 deaths have been witnessed so far, while the disease has afflicted 99,082.
The dengue last year claimed 575 lives and afflicted 101,214 people in the country.
