Public access to the National Memorial area in Savar has been restricted for three days to commemorate Victory Day on December 16.
"The National Memorial area in Savar will be closed to the public from December 13 to 15 to keep the premises clean ahead of the celebration of Victory Day-2025," an official handout said in Dhaka on Thursday.
Furthermore, on the morning of December 16th, public access to the memorial will be restricted until 08:30 am for the wreath-laying ceremony by VVIPs, VIPs, and invited guests.
As part of the day's festivities, no posters, banners, or festoons will be permitted along the road connecting Gabtoli, Dhaka, to the National Memorial.
The public has also been urged to avoid damaging the flowerbeds while laying wreaths at the Savar memorial.
