The admission test for Dhaka University’s (DU) ‘Kha Unit’, covering the Faculties of Arts, Law, and Social Sciences for the 2025–2026 academic session, was held on Saturday in a fair and peaceful manner.
The test began at 11:00 am and continued until 12:30 pm at Dhaka University as well as at centres of public universities in seven divisional cities outside Dhaka.
A total of 17,701 candidates took part in the examination for 2,934 seats, making the competition highly competitive with nearly 39 applicants vying for each seat.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan visited the examination centre at the Social Sciences Faculty building around noon to oversee the process.
Outside Dhaka, the examination was conducted at Rajshahi University, Chattogram University, Barishal University, Khulna University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh Agricultural University in Mymensingh, and Begum Rokeya University.
