A fire broke out on Friday afternoon at Khaddar Bazar Shopping Complex at Zero Point in Gulishtan, Dhaka.
The fire erupted around a godown situated on the roof of the eight-storey commercial building at 5:28 pm, fire service media officer Anwarul Islam confirmed.
Firefighters received the news of the incident at 5:28 pm and promptly reached the scene within five minutes, at 5:33 pm.
Six firefighting units from Siddiq Bazar Fire Station are currently working to bring the fire under control.
No immediate reports of casualties have been confirmed so far.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be confirmed immediately.
