The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 on Sunday issued arrest warrant against seven individuals, including Awami League (AL) General Secretary (GS) and former minister Obaidul Quader, in a case filed against them on the charges of committing crime against humanity during the July Mass Uprising.
The three-member tribunal, led by Justice Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, passed the order after holding hearing on the matter.
The other accused of the case are – AL Joint GS A F M Bahauddin Nasim, former state minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat, Jubo League President Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash and GS Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, President of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League Saddam Hossain and its GS Wali Asif Inan.
The second tribunal on 18 December 2025 issued arrest warrant against the seven accused. The ICT-2 issued the order, taking the formal charge filed against the seven into cognisance.
