Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (Ansar-VDP) has undertaken comprehensive, technology-driven, and professional preparations nationwide to ensure a free, fair, and peaceful 13th national parliamentary election and referendum.
As part of these preparations, an election preparatory rally was held in Bogura on Friday. In addition to on-site participation, Ansar and VDP members from Rangpur, Dinajpur, and Nilphamari districts joined the rally virtually via a giant screen.
Addressing the rally as chief guest, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, Director General of Ansar-VDP, urged all members to remain committed to their state-assigned responsibilities with professionalism, neutrality, and integrity.
He noted that some vested quarters are spreading misleading propaganda regarding alleged ‘election engineering’ and the misuse of the force, emphasising that unity, honesty, and professionalism are the most effective means to counter such disinformation.
Referring to past elections, the Director General said a group previously involved in irregularities had attempted to undermine the image of the Ansar force and is now operating behind the scenes to question the credibility of the digital, technology-based election management system.
He highlighted the role of the Ansar-VDP Management Information System (AVMIS) and the Short-Term Team Development Management System (STDMS), stating that these systems have effectively closed avenues for irregularities.
Nearly 250,000 newly trained Ansar and VDP members were present at the rally.
