The government has launched two new digital platforms aimed at improving citizen services and engaging expatriates in opportunities in Bangladesh.
Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, and ICT Division Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury briefed Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on Tuesday evening at the State Guest House Jamuna on the “Shubhechcha” app and the central online ticketing platform “Druto Ticket”.
The “Shubhechcha” app allows overseas Bangladeshis to access more than 100 government services in a streamlined manner, enhancing their connection to the country. Meanwhile, “Druto Ticket” is designed to ensure transparency and prevent irregularities in bus, rail and air travel, particularly during festivals and peak travel periods.
The Chief Adviser expressed appreciation for the initiatives, saying, “Our goal is to ensure all government services reach citizens efficiently. Today marks the beginning of this journey. These platforms must be expanded to reach more people.”
Professor Muhammad Yunus also expressed hope that the next elected government would continue to build on these digital services.
