Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin will address the nation at 7:00pm on Wednesday ahead of the 13th national parliamentary election and the simultaneous referendum scheduled for Thursday.

The speech will be broadcast live on Bangladesh Television (BTV) and Bangladesh Betar, with private TV channels and radio stations relaying the address via BTV’s feed, confirmed Md Ruhul Amin Mallick, Director (Public Relations) and Chief Information Officer of the Election Commission Secretariat.

The CEC is expected to provide key directives on overall poll preparations, the law and order situation, and voting procedures. He will also highlight the final measures implemented by the Election Commission to ensure a free, fair, impartial and credible election, calling for the full cooperation of political parties, candidates, voters, and officials involved in election duties.

Voting for both the parliamentary election and referendum will begin at 7:30am on Thursday and continue uninterrupted until 4:30pm.
