At least three people were killed and more than 300 sustained injuries in separate violent incidents across Bangladesh in the two days following the 13th National Parliamentary Election, the Human Rights Support Society (HRSS) reported on Sunday.

HRSS held a press briefing at the National Press Club in Dhaka to share findings from its post-election monitoring.

Executive Director of HRSS Ejazul Islam said incidents of violence were recorded in 30 districts nationwide.

“Over the past two days, three lives have been lost and hundreds of people have been injured in clashes related to the election,” he said.

According to HRSS, two young men were killed in separate incidents in Munshiganj and Bagerhat, while a child died in Mymensingh. The organisation also reported a case of sexual assault in Noakhali during the same period.

The human rights group alleged that the violence involved activists and supporters of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and certain independent candidates.

The organisation further reported that approximately 350 business establishments, offices and residences were attacked or set on fire amid post-election unrest.

HRSS called for strict law enforcement and accountability to prevent further escalation of violence and to ensure the safety of citizens in the wake of the polls.

It is to be noted that the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the accompanying referendum were held on 12 February 2026.
