Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Saturday released a commemorative postage stamp, an opening envelope, and a canceller on the occasion of Great Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day.

He unveiled the commemorative postage stamp at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in the city’s Tejgaon area.

Earlier, Tarique Rahman assumed his office at the PMO for the first time on the day, having performed his official duties at the Cabinet Division in the Bangladesh Secretariat since taking charge as the country’s 11th Prime Minister on 17 February.

Before commencing his official work at the PMO, the Prime Minister planted a ‘Swarna Chapa’ flower sapling on the office premises.
