Indian Assistant High Commissioner (HC) in Rajshahi Manoj Kumar on Saturday described the relationship between Bangladesh and India as “sincere and genuine,” highlighting the shared cultural and linguistic heritage of the two neighbouring countries.
He made the remarks after paying homage to the Language Movement martyrs by placing a wreath at the Central Shaheed Minar in Rajshahi in the morning.
On the occasion, he also extended greetings to the people on behalf of the Indian Assistant High Commission.
Speaking to journalists, Manoj Kumar said the Bengali Language serves as a strong bond between Bangladesh and India.
“The Bengali Language is a common bond between our two countries. It is not only shared but also cherished and preserved through the traditions and culture of both India and Bangladesh,” he said.
