Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Bangladesh held a meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Sunday morning at the Cabinet Division of the Secretariat in Dhaka.

According to the Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahaman Rumon, the meeting began at 11:00am and was attended by senior members of the government.

Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and the Prime Minister’s Adviser Humayun Kabir were present during the discussion, underscoring the diplomatic significance of the engagement.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister arrived at the Secretariat at 9:05am, where he was received by Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar.

While details of the discussions were not immediately disclosed, meetings between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia typically focus on bilateral cooperation, labour migration, investment and regional issues.

Saudi Arabia remains one of Bangladesh’s key partners in the Middle East, with strong ties in trade, energy and workforce employment. The latest engagement reflects continued diplomatic interaction between the two countries at the highest level.
