Selima Rahman, a Standing Committee member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and former minister, has been admitted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of United Hospital in the capital after suffering a heart attack.
The matter was confirmed today by BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan.
According to party and family sources, Selima Rahman experienced a sudden cardiac complication around 10:00pm on Thursday (February 19) and was immediately taken to United Hospital.
Following medical examinations, she was placed under intensive observation in the CCU, where she is currently receiving treatment.
Her family and party leaders have requested prayers from the public for her swift recovery.
