State Minister for Labour and Employment Nurul Haque Nur has called for national unity and an end to revenge-driven politics, urging citizens to work together to rebuild society through harmony and mutual respect during the holy month of Ramadan.
In a Facebook post highlighting reconciliation and collective responsibility, Nur stressed that politics should move beyond “vengeance and retaliation, clashes and violence,” and instead prioritise “harmony, tolerance, unity and fraternity” for the greater interest of the country.
He underscored the importance of fostering an environment where differences are addressed through dialogue rather than confrontation, saying that rebuilding the state requires cooperation from all sections of society.
Through his message, the state minister invited citizens to reflect on their roles in strengthening social cohesion and contributing to national progress.
He said meaningful change begins at the individual level and encouraged people to use Ramadan as a time for introspection and self-improvement.
“Let transformation begin from within. Ramadan is an appropriate time for self-reform,” Nur wrote, urging people to purify their intentions and actions.
Concluding the post on a spiritual note, he offered prayers for unity and progress, expressing hope that Almighty Allah would accept the collective efforts and sincere intentions of the people in working towards a more tolerant and harmonious Bangladesh.
