Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon has instructed authorities to introduce artificial intelligence-based automation in the teacher transfer system to reduce lobbying and improve transparency in schools and colleges.

He issued the directive during a meeting on Thursday with officials from the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, where administrative reforms and operational improvements were discussed.

The meeting focused on addressing institutional weaknesses within the ministry and its affiliated departments while strengthening coordination and service delivery mechanisms. Officials exchanged views on how to make administrative processes more efficient and responsive to public needs.

The minister said unnecessary delays and bureaucratic gaps must be eliminated to create a more effective and service-oriented work environment.

He urged officials to speak openly and contribute constructive ideas to improve the system.

He stressed that issues related to teachers - including salaries, allowances, pensions, leave approvals, transfers, training and higher education - should be resolved within a clear and defined timeframe to prevent prolonged administrative delays.

Milon highlighted the importance of expanding digital platforms and automation across the education sector.

He said modern technology should make services accessible and reduce physical visits to offices.

He also suggested developing an integrated system in the future that allows service seekers to easily identify the appropriate desk or official based on their specific concerns.

When officials pointed out technical limitations in existing online systems, the minister instructed them to address the shortcomings quickly to ensure smoother and more transparent operations.

Senior officials from the ministry and the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education attended the meeting.
