The Bangladeshi Embassy in Qatar is working alongside Qatari authorities and Qatar Airways to arrange a special flight for Bangladeshi nationals stranded in the country amid escalating tensions across the Gulf region.

In an urgent advisory issued on Wednesday (11 March), the embassy confirmed it is maintaining close contact with the Government of Qatar and the national carrier to facilitate travel for affected members of the Bangladeshi community.

According to the notice, priority for the proposed special flight will be given to families, women, children, and elderly passengers.

The embassy has circulated a Google Form link via its official social media platforms to compile a list of passengers interested in the flight. Stranded nationals were requested on Thursday to submit their details as soon as possible to be considered for the arrangement.

The advisory follows continued concerns over the security situation in parts of the Gulf, which has prompted diplomatic missions to monitor developments and coordinate assistance for their citizens abroad.

A significant number of Bangladeshi expatriates are employed in Qatar’s construction and service sectors, making the nation a key destination for Bangladesh’s overseas workforce. During periods of emergency or travel disruption, Bangladesh’s diplomatic missions frequently coordinate with host governments to arrange repatriation.
