Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will exchange Eid-ul-Fitr greetings with people from all walks of life, including foreign diplomats, on the day of Eid.
The programme will take place at the state guest house Jamuna at 10am, according to Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister will offer Eid prayers at the National Eidgah before heading to Jamuna to greet diplomats.
He will later exchange greetings with cabinet members, lawmakers, distinguished citizens, academicians, ulema and mashaikh, as well as artists, writers, and senior officials from both government and private sectors.
Following the event, Tarique Rahman, accompanied by his family members, will visit Sher-e-Bangla Nagar to offer ziarat at the graves of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
This will mark his first Eid in Bangladesh in over 17 years, having spent previous Eids in London.
