Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon on Monday assured that the upcoming SSC and equivalent examinations will be conducted across the country in a completely fair, transparent, and orderly manner.
Speaking as the chief guest at a discussion with head examiners of the Mymensingh Education Board, as well as the Madrasah and Technical Education Boards of the Mymensingh region, Milon emphasised that no irregularities or negligence in answer-sheet evaluation would be tolerated.
“If any allegation of misconduct by examiners is proven, strict action will be taken against those responsible,” he said.
The minister stressed that examiners must adhere strictly to evaluation guidelines to ensure students’ results accurately reflect their merit and achievement.
He called on all examiners to maintain professionalism and responsibility during the entire assessment process.
Highlighting the government’s ongoing reforms, Milon noted that the Public Examinations (Offences) Act, 1980 is being updated to cover not only public examinations but also question leaks, fraud and cheating in government recruitment tests.
Referring to past instances of irregularities, he warned that artificial inflation of results undermines the quality of education and must be completely eradicated to build an accountable and high-quality education system.
Milon also mentioned that various government initiatives are underway to improve education quality, calling for coordinated efforts among teachers, administrative staff and all stakeholders to achieve this goal.
The discussion was attended by local lawmakers, officials, and other stakeholders involved in ensuring smooth and fair conduct of examinations.
