Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has sent gifts to the child who was standing by the roadside with a flower along with his mother to welcome the PM during his visit to Jashore on Monday.
As the convoy, including the bus carrying the Prime Minister, was passing the Jashore Institute, with the slogan ‘Sobar Agee Bangladesh’, a mother, Nilima, was standing with her child in her arms, holding a flower in front of the institute to greet the Prime Minister.
Noticing them, Tarique Rahman stopped the vehicle and got down to see the child. This unprecedented moment impressed people across the country.
However, Nilima widely shared the moment on her Facebook page and on various media and social platforms.
Later, the Prime Minister instructed his Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman to send gifts for Nilima and her child.
Following that instruction, an ‘Amra BNP Poribar’ delegation, led by its Member Secretary, agriculturist Md Moksedul Momin Mithun, visited Nilima’s residence in Jashore and handed over the Prime Minister’s gift to them this noon.
‘Amra BNP Poribar’ member Masud Rana Liton and Jashore District Swechchhasebak Dol Member Secretary Rajidur Rahman Sagar were present at the occasion.
