Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has held a meeting with senior officials to discuss plans to reopen closed factories under the Ministry of Textiles and Jute.
The meeting took place on Monday morning at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Bangladesh Secretariat, according to an official release.
Textiles and Jute Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir; Prime Minister’s Political and Industry Affairs Adviser Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, State Minister for Textiles and Jute Shariful Alam; and Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun were among those present.
Officials from relevant ministries and agencies also attended the meeting.
Discussions focused on various issues related to reopening the closed mills, including policy, operational and investment considerations.
