Bangladesh and China have pledged a comprehensive strategic partnership to deepen cooperation in trade, investment, connectivity and development.
The two countries made the resolve during the official visit of Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman to China, a foreign ministry press release stated.
As part of the visit, Foreign Minister Khaliur Rahman on Wednesday held a meeting with the Chairperson of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Wang Huning, in Beijing.
The two sides reviewed the growing bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction over the steady progress of cooperation under the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
They also reiterated their commitment to further strengthening collaboration in the areas of trade, investment, connectivity and development for mutual benefit.
Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir, and Bangladesh Ambassador to China, Nazmul Islam, were present.
