Prime Minister Tarique Rahman resumed official duties on Monday, returning to the Bangladesh Secretariat on the first working day after the Eid-ul-Azha holidays.
According to Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon, the premier arrived at his office at around 9:15am and began a full day of scheduled official engagements.
The government’s Eid-ul-Azha holiday period ran from 25 May to 31 May.
During the holiday, Tarique Rahman participated in a range of official and political activities. These included exchanging Eid greetings, inspecting sacrificial waste management operations in the capital and attending programmes marking the 45th death anniversary of Ziaur Rahman, founder of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party.
Officials said the Prime Minister will take part in a series of government programmes and meetings throughout the day as regular administrative activities resume following the Eid break.
