Info minister reviews RADP progress, calls for faster implementation

Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon has instructed all concerned officials to ensure the timely completion and high-quality implementation of ongoing development projects under the ministry.

He issued the directive while chairing a review meeting on the progress of projects included in the Revised Annual Development Programme (RADP) for the fiscal year 2025-26, held at the ministry’s conference room in Dhaka on Tuesday.

State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yasser Khan Choudhury was also present at the meeting.

In his remarks, Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon emphasised that all development projects under the ministry must be completed within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining 100 per cent quality standards. He also stressed the importance of ensuring transparency and accountability in the use of government funds allocated for these projects.

During the meeting, officials were presented with a detailed briefing on the physical and financial progress of ongoing RADP-listed initiatives. Project directors from different departments shared updates on the status of their respective projects, highlighting achievements as well as challenges faced during implementation.

The meeting also reviewed overall progress trends to identify areas requiring improved coordination and faster execution. Senior officials and concerned project directors from various projects under the ministry were in attendance.

The session was conducted by the Secretary of the Ministry Mahbuba Farjana, who facilitated discussions and coordinated presentations from project teams.

The minister reiterated that efficient implementation of development programmes is essential for ensuring public service delivery and achieving the government’s broader development goals.
