A meeting of the ruling BNP parliamentary party is currently underway at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban in Dhaka, with BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman presiding over the session.
The meeting began on Saturday afternoon and brought together members of the BNP parliamentary party to discuss key political and national issues, according to the Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony.
BNP Secretary General and Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir delivered the welcome address at the opening of the meeting.
Party sources said the gathering is expected to focus on a range of matters of national importance, including governance priorities, parliamentary coordination, and current political developments. Lawmakers are also likely to exchange views on upcoming legislative activities in Parliament.
The meeting is part of regular parliamentary party consultations aimed at maintaining coordination between government policy directions and legislative business in the Jatiya Sangsad.
