The results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be announced no later than 20 July, Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon said on Monday.
Speaking at a press conference at the Ministry of Education, the minister said all education boards across the country have been given clear instructions to complete the necessary work and ensure the results are published within the specified timeframe.
The briefing focused on several ongoing initiatives of the ministry, including the national Startup, Science Project and Innovative Idea Exhibition Programme, as well as the Primary School Gold Cup Football Tournament. State

Ehsanul Hoque Milon said the government is working to minimise delays in the education system and ensure students can move smoothly to the next stage of their academic careers. He noted that answer script evaluation and other result-processing activities are progressing quickly so that students do not face unnecessary waiting periods after examinations.
Highlighting the impact of session jams, the minister said many students are completing their studies later than expected because of delays in academic schedules. According to him, reducing such delays is essential for making effective use of the country’s demographic dividend.
He also announced plans to bring higher secondary and university academic calendars under stricter timelines. Under the proposed framework, three-year degree programmes must be completed within three years and five-year programmes within five years, with no tolerance for prolonged delays.
Looking ahead, the minister said a draft schedule has been prepared for the 2027 SSC examinations. The proposal suggests starting the exams on 7 January and concluding them on 8 February, following completion of the syllabus by June 2026. However, he added that feedback from students, teachers and guardians is being reviewed before a final decision is made.
