The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 2,167 cases for violating traffic rules in different areas of the capital during the last 24 hours until Sunday’s evening.
Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations Division) of DMP NM Nasiruddin said that the DMP traffic division conducted a campaign against traffic breakers until 6.00 pm on Sunday.
He said again, “the DMP traffic police dumped 376 motor vehicles and towed 288 vehicles during the campaign against traffic rule violations on 14 June.”
During the drives, DMP filed 77 cases under the Ramna zone, 194 cases under the Lalbagh zone, 436 cases under the Motijheel zone, 279 cases under the Wari zone, 159 cases under the Tejgaon zone, 360 cases under the Mirpur zone, 427 cases under the Uttara zone, and 235 cases under the Gulshan zone.
The DMP’s Traffic Division has vowed to continue drives to maintain discipline on Dhaka’s roads.
