The International Crimes Tribunal-2 has set June 30 for delivering its judgement in a crimes-against-humanity case against former information minister Hasanul Haque Inu over the killing of six people in Kushtia during the July Mass Uprising in 2024.
ICT-2 prosecutor Gazi MH Tamim confirmed the date to reporters on Monday.
The tribunal had earlier kept the judgement “on CAV” on May 14. CAV, or curia advisari vult, indicates that a court has reserved its verdict and may announce it on a later date after concluding hearings.
A three-member bench had completed arguments in the case on that day. Chief Prosecutor Md Aminul Islam and prosecutor Faruk Ahmed represented the prosecution, while senior advocate Mansurul Haque Chowdhury appeared for Hasanul Haque Inu.
Inu was indicted by ICT-2 on November 2, 2025. The tribunal framed eight specific charges against him in connection with the killings of six people during unrest in Kushtia linked to the July–August Mass Uprising.
The case is now scheduled for judgement on June 30.
