Bangladesh recorded three more dengue-related deaths and 251 new infections in the 24 hours to 8:00 am on Wednesday, taking the country’s death toll to 22 this year.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the latest deaths were reported in Dhaka North City Corporation, Khulna Division and Barishal Division.
The new infections brought the total number of dengue cases reported nationwide this year to 7,557, the health authorities said.
The latest figures come after Bangladesh recorded a severe dengue outbreak in 2025, when the country reported 102,861 cases and 413 dengue-related deaths, according to DGHS data.
