The Bangladesh Army has continued its humanitarian response in flood-affected parts of Chattogram and the Chattogram Hill Tracts (CHT), providing medical care, emergency supplies and relief assistance to communities struggling with the impact of the recent flooding.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), army personnel have been deployed to several affected areas to support local residents as floodwaters continue to disrupt daily life.
In Hathazari upazila of Chattogram, military medical teams treated people affected by the flooding and offered healthcare services to those in need.
The initiative was aimed at addressing immediate health concerns and helping prevent the spread of illness in areas where access to medical facilities has become more difficult.
Relief efforts have also been carried out in Rangamati, where soldiers distributed essential supplies to families affected by the floods. The assistance was intended to help residents meet their immediate needs as they recover from the damage caused by the heavy rains.
Meanwhile, in Fatikchhari upazila, army personnel delivered relief materials and distributed medicines among flood-affected people. The support forms part of a wider emergency response designed to reach communities facing shortages of basic necessities.
The ISPR said the Bangladesh Army remains committed to continuing its humanitarian operations in the affected districts. It added that troops will keep providing emergency assistance and relief to help ease the difficulties faced by flood-hit communities until the situation improves.
The latest operations come as authorities and emergency responders continue efforts to support thousands of people affected by flooding in parts of Chattogram and the surrounding hill districts following persistent heavy rainfall.
