The Jatiya Sangsad Whip, Advocate M. Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu, has affirmed that the farmer-friendly administration led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is fully committed to advancing agricultural development and securing the welfare of rural workers.

The senior politician shared these insights while speaking as the chief guest at an official event to distribute vital agricultural supplies and incentives to local farmers. The gathering took place at the Natore Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium.

Dulu highlighted that the administration is currently rolling out a comprehensive, nationwide canal excavation scheme specifically designed to accelerate agricultural output. He pointed out that this major infrastructure drive focuses on modernising local farming practices and ensuring that reliable irrigation channels are much easier for rural communities to access.

In a significant financial update for smallholders, the Whip revealed that outstanding agricultural loans valued up to 10,000 Taka have already been completely waived by the government.

To streamline access to credit, state incentives, and various public resources, the government has introduced dedicated Farmer Cards. Dulu added that the distribution of these cards is moving forward rapidly across all districts to provide comprehensive financial safety nets and systemic protection for the agricultural workforce.

Describing everyday farmers as the absolute backbone of the national economy, Dulu noted that the broader progress of the country relies heavily on uplifting rural livelihoods.

The Whip concluded his address by guaranteeing that essential provisions, including high-grade fertilisers, seeds, and extra farming inputs distributed under the state support scheme, would be directed solely to genuine farmers. He insisted that the new distribution networks would remain entirely transparent, strictly avoiding the administrative mismanagement and corruption seen in previous years.

The official proceedings were led by the Natore Sadar Upazila Nirbahi officer, Md. Azahar Ali. The Administrator of the Natore Zila Parishad, Rahim Newaz, also participated in the session as a special guest speaker.
