Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has promised that the government will keep foreign and local investors safe as work starts on a major industrial park in Bangladesh.
Speaking at the foundation ceremony for the China Economic and Industrial Zone in Anwara, the minister said police and security forces will protect the project at every stage.
He explained that authorities will ensure safe transport networks and smooth operations for all businesses in the area.
The governments of Bangladesh and China have signed a direct agreement to build the new industrial park in Chattogram.
Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed stated that the Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority has established a simple one-stop help centre for new businesses.
This centre will provide investors with fast official approvals, easy access to water and power, and administrative support.
He stressed that the government will honour every promise made in the agreement quickly and clearly.
The minister added that the industrial site will create thousands of jobs for local people and help them learn new technical skills.
He called the project a lasting bridge of trust, friendship, and trade between Bangladesh and China.
Several key leaders attended the event, including Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, State Minister for Land Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, and Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen.
Business leaders were also present, including Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority Executive Chairman Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud Bin Harun and China Economic and Industrial Zone Chairman Wang Benchian.
Officials believe the hub will boost manufacturing, improve global supply chains, and build a stronger economic future for the country.
