Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said that improving the country’s education system is one of the government’s top priorities so that every student can get a high-quality education.
He made these comments during his first official visit to the Ministry of Education at the Secretariat. During the visit, Tarique Rahman met with senior ministry officials, heads of government agencies, and experienced education officers who work directly in local districts.
Ministry officials gave a detailed presentation showing how current projects are going, how the national education policy is being introduced, and how the ministry is running.
After reviewing the presentation, Tarique Rahman asked officials to focus on several key areas to improve schools:
· Better Classroom Learning: Improving the overall quality of education and making sure students attend school regularly.
· Teacher Training: Providing continuous and modern training for teachers so they can use better teaching methods.
· Modern Tools: Expanding the use of technology in classrooms across the country.
· Strong Accountability: Holding ministry staff and school administrators responsible for their work.
Tarique Rahman also spoke directly with local education officers about the everyday problems they face in schools. He listened to their suggestions and said that real-world experience from local districts must be used when creating new policies.
The Prime Minister emphasised that every student, regardless of where they live or what background they come from, deserves a modern, high-quality education. He urged all ministry staff to carry out their duties with dedication and a strong focus on serving the public.
